Hi Simone
Very interested in your blog and the issues of solar energy. I'm really puzzled as to why there is so little attention paid to the promotion of solar in Jamaica, where my wife and I have a house. Energy costs there are astronomical and only going to get worse, and yet it is the perfect environment for solar power. The solar powered life guard hut is a great example of what should be happeneing in schools, government buildings etc etc all over the island. How can I help get things moving?
Best wishes

Hi Simone

Came across your post - i'm not quite sure how - but your last comment about enjoying finding out more abut climate smart opportunities really struck a chord with me.

I was recently charged with starting a 'solar energy' blog to support our homeowner online quoting website - solarpanelquoter.co.uk.

When I started looking for inspiration for how the blog would look and what direction it should take, I visited many stories regarding solar energy. This quickly led onto more unusual types of renewable energy and so was born the idea - to provide a quick non-techie round up of renewable energy stories from around the world.

I've experimented with Twitter to promote every new post etc and am now seeing a steady following which proves to me there is much interest in renewable energy production.

And yes, It's a real voyage of discovery as I hunt out the snippets of news and features - in fact it's so exciting some of the stuff I come across that I can't wait to 'publish' it.

Glad to hear the launch went so well.

Regards
Jonathan
