Hanna Alder is a Programme and Research Officer in the Social Development Programme at ODI. A gender specialist by training, Hanna works on issues including transforming social norms, adolescent girls, and gender in a post-2015 framework. Most recently she has lead on a participatory photography project as part of a larger DFID-funded piece of research investigating community and beneficiary perceptions of cash transfer programmes – Transforming Cash Transfers. This week Hanna is in New York at the UN Commission on the Status of Women where critical negotiations are underway to agree an outcome document focussing on eliminating violence against women and girls.
